The Walk to Emmaus is ecumenical, open to all Christian denominations.

The program invites and involves the participation of Christians of many denominations. Emmaus is ecumenical not only because members of many denominations participate, but because Emmaus seeks to foster Christian unity to reinforce the whole Christian community. This is one of the greatest strengths and joys of the Emmaus Community.

The Walk to Emmaus is an experience of Christian spiritual renewal and formation that begins with a three-day short course in Christianity.  The Emmaus weekend begins on a Thursday night and ends in late Sunday afternoon at Camp Alabama in Choudrant, Louisiana.  During the weekend, you will spend three busy but enjoyable days filled with study, song, prayer, worship, and discussion, developing a closer walk with Christ and experiencing God’s grace and love as revealed to you through other believers.
